Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Business Development Manager. The Business Development Manager will identify, qualify, and secure new foodservice customers while strengthening relationships with existing accounts across Scotland and the North. Daily tasks include prospecting and outreach, conducting virtual and on-site customer meetings, preparing proposals and pricing options, and presenting Food Options’ product range and value proposition. The role involves monitoring market trends, gathering customer feedback, and collaborating with internal teams to optimize product offerings, service levels, and promotional activity. The Business Development Manager will maintain accurate sales pipelines and reports, negotiate contracts, and work toward revenue, margin, and growth targets aligned with company objectives.

Qualifications
- Strong sales and business development skills, including prospecting, lead generation, and closing deals.
- Account management and relationship-building capabilities, with experience nurturing long-term customer partnerships.
- Knowledge of foodservice, wholesale, or FMCG sectors, with the ability to understand product categories and customer needs.
- Competence in using CRM systems, digital communication tools, and common office software to manage pipelines and reporting.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain value and pricing clearly.
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets; experience in the Scottish or UK foodservice market is an advantage.
- Relevant education in business, sales, marketing, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
