Delaware North UK is hiring a full-time Business Account Executive to join our team at Stadium of Light in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear. Here, there are endless opportunities to thrive. Responsibilities
- Manage sales and enquiries for events and all non-matchday business, proactively engaging with both new and previous accounts to encourage innovative events and discover opportunities
- Conduct venue show-rounds to ensure accurate and best representation of our facilities and offerings, guiding to maximise sales conversion and ensure a successful event
- Ensure event information is detailed accurately to maximise sales opportunity and revenue, sharing value in food, beverages, and other items, exceeding sales targets while supporting excellent guest experiences
- Attend team meetings to discuss pipeline and activity, contributing to the annual sales and marketing plan
- Ensure all legal requirements are met, and the operation complies with current health and safety, food hygiene, fire regulations, licensing laws, and trading standards, maintaining Delaware North’s policies and standards of excellence

Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience, preferably in a similar sales coordination setting, including stadiums, conference venues, or hotels
- No degree required
- Skills in IT literacy, teamwork and collaboration, attention to detail, quality focus, guest and client focus, and excellent written and verbal communication
Physical Requirements
Ability to travel to work at Stadium of Light, and possibly on occasion other locations to support the business

Delaware North has provided hospitality services at the Stadium of Light since 2025. Home to Sunderland Association Football Club, this 49,000 red and white seater stadium hosts Premier League football, international sports, concerts, meetings, and events. At the Stadium of Light, we provide premium dining experiences at Banks on the Wear and 76 Yards alongside Michelin star Chef, and Sunderland fan, Tommy Banks. There’s always something exciting to be part of from matchdays to concerts like Take That, P!nk, Spice Girls, and Beyoncé.
