About the Role

We're looking for an Account Manager to grow opportunities across our customer base in the social housing sector. Working alongside an experienced business development team, you'll manage existing accounts and help build new relationships within an expert team. We welcome applicants with Account Management experience and/or social housing knowledge - what matters most is a strong regard for customer relationships and working collaboratively.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and respected business with a strong customer base across the region. The role will focus primarily on managing and developing existing key accounts (approximately 80%), alongside identifying and securing new business opportunities (approximately 20%) within our target markets.

Our key sectors include Social Housing – new build and refurbishment, Build to Rent (BTR)/Private Rented Sector (PRS), and Student Accommodation.

Reporting to the Regional Sales Director (Scotland), the successful candidate will ideally have a proven track record in B2B account management and sales. We would also consider candidates looking to progress their career from a desk-based, internal sales or depot-based role into a more customer-facing position.

The role will involve a combination of home-based working and regular travel throughout the region, so a flexible, organised and proactive approach to working independently and in the field is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of existing customer accounts, building strong and lasting commercial relationships.
  • Maximise revenue and growth opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Accurately forecast customer requirements and future opportunities.
  • Actively manage pricing and commercial opportunities to achieve agreed business targets.
  • Provide effective day-to-day account management, including problem-solving and resolving customer issues.
  • Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities within JTC's target markets and in line with company objectives.
  • Develop strong working relationships with customers and key stakeholders at all levels.
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments to ensure customer requirements are understood and delivered effectively.
  • Maintain regular contact with customers through meetings, site visits, telephone calls and other appropriate channels.
  • Plan and manage your diary and time effectively to maximise customer engagement and commercial opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate customer and sales information and provide appropriate updates and forecasts to the National Sales Manager.
  • Represent JTC Furniture Group professionally at all times, protecting the reputation, relationships and commercial interests of the business.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
