During this apprenticeship

You will develop your knowledge of the business principles, laws, and regulations to enable them to meet stakeholder needs and expectations.

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

This role includes, communicating effectively with all stakeholders in a business environment; managing resources in line with an organisation’s core values and business principles; and understanding the logistics of managing events and projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Spread your time across several departments within the business including, Support, Projects, Health & Safety & Finance.
  • Processing documentation incoming and outgoing
  • Dealing with internal / external telephone enquiries
  • Entry of accurate data into customers bespoke database
  • Extracting of data from systems and prepare and present findings and analysis in reports
  • Use of bespoke systems and other internal systems, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • End of day / weekly reporting including fulfilling KPI’s
  • Work with functional colleagues to ensure the effective operation of the department
  • Undertake any other duties as reasonably required to ensure the successful operation of the group
  • Maintenance and championing of excellence in customer service always, with a commitment to getting things correctly done first time
  • Ensuring that all incoming communications from stakeholders are handled quickly and efficiently, escalating any issues where necessary
  • Effective logging and management of all jobs onto the service management system, ensuring that all relevant information is obtained and recorded

What you'll learn

Course contents

Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation in order to: write letters or emails, create proposals, perform financial processes, record and analyse data. Examples include MS Office or equivalent packages. Able to choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem. Able to update and review databases, record information and produce data analysis where required.

Produces accurate records and documents including: emails, letters, files, payments, reports and proposals. Makes recommendations for improvements and present solutions to management. Drafts correspondence, writes reports and able to review others' work. Maintains records and files, handles confidential information in compliance with the organisation's procedures. Coaches others in the processes required to complete these tasks.

Uses relevant project management principles and tools to scope, plan, monitor and report. Plans required resources to successfully deliver projects. Undertakes and leads projects as and when required.

Essential qualifications

  • GCSE in:
    • English and Maths (grade 4 - 9)
