About The Role

We're excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Business Administration Apprentice to join our Drives Division within a busy and supportive environment.

As a Business Administration Apprentice within our Drives Division, you'll gain valuable hands-on experience supporting a busy sales and customer service team. You'll develop key administrative, organisational and communication skills while learning about industrial drives and power transmission products within a successful engineering business.

Working alongside experienced colleagues, you'll build the knowledge and confidence needed for a long-term career in business administration and customer service.

You will learn how to:

  • Raise and process customer and supplier orders accurately using company systems
  • Chase outstanding orders and provide updates to customers and colleagues
  • Check supplier order confirmations against purchase orders and resolve discrepancies
  • Review warehouse transfer (WT) reports and maintain accurate records
  • Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies
  • File and maintain business documentation both electronically and manually
  • Answer incoming calls and assist with booking deliveries and collections from suppliers
  • Communicate professionally with customers, suppliers and colleagues
  • Deliver excellent customer service by being friendly, helpful and responsive

Following successful completion of the apprenticeship, there may be opportunities to progress into roles within Business Administration, Customer Service, Internal Sales or Operations.

What We're Looking For

  • A genuine interest in business administration and customer service
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • A friendly, professional and helpful approach
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths
