About Specialist Passenger Solutions (SPS)
At Specialist Passenger Solutions (SPS) we are dedicated to providing the perfect journey. SPS was formed in 2016 and serves the passenger transport needs of the EDF Nuclear Project at Hinkley Point C (HPC) in Bridgwater, the largest construction project in Europe. We are the only transport provider for the thousands of people who go to the construction site daily to work or visit. We are now bringing this experience to Sizewell C in Suffolk, providing safe, reliable, and efficient transport for its workforce. Business Administration Apprentice
Are you ready to kickstart your career in business, while playing a part in one of the UK’s most exciting infrastructure projects?
At SPS Bus, we are looking for a motivated, organised, and enthusiastic Business Administration Apprentice to join our team. This is more than just an apprenticeship - it’s an opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a range of business functions supporting our transport operations for the Sizewell C Power Station project.

You’ll gain first-hand experience across a range of business functions, with a particular focus on HR, Recruitment and Operations. You’ll also have the opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills in other areas, including Engineering, Health & Safety and more, giving you a well-rounded understanding of how a busy transport organisation operates
With full training, mentoring, and ongoing support, you’ll develop the skills, confidence, and experience needed to build a successful long-term career in business whilst gaining a recognised Business Administration qualification.
What You’ll Be Learning
As a Business Administration Apprentice you’ll gain experience in:
- Business administration and office processes
- HR and recruitment
- Operations and transport
- Engineering administration and support
- Health & Safety processes
- Customer service and stakeholder management
- Business systems, data and record keeping
- Compliance and company procedures
- Working within a fast-paced transport environment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support across different departments within the business, including HR, Recruitment, Operations, Transport, Engineering and Health & Safety.
- Assist with day-to-day business administration, documentation and record keeping.
- Support teams with maintaining accurate records, systems and company documentation.
- Communicate with colleagues, employees, candidates and external stakeholders in a professional and helpful manner.
- Assist with coordinating meetings, appointments, training and other business activities.
- Support recruitment and onboarding activities where required.
- Assist Operations and Transport teams with administrative tasks supporting the day-to-day running of services.
- Support Engineering and Health & Safety teams with documentation, records and general administration.
- Learn the compliance processes required for working within a transport environment and on high-security and regulated sites.
- Provide excellent customer service to employees, managers, colleagues and external stakeholders.
- Support business events, meetings and team activities.
- Build strong working relationships with teams across the organisation.
- Develop an understanding of how different departments work together to support the wider business.
- Ensure all administrative activities are completed accurately, professionally and in line with company procedures.
