MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE:

As a Business Administration Apprentice, you will be developing your skills and knowledge while supporting the IT, Governance, Risk & Compliance function and wider business areas.
This role is designed to provide a structured learning experience alongside day-to-day responsibilities, giving you exposure to key business operations within a fast-paced, multi-site organisation.
Working closely with the IT, Governance, Risk & Compliance Manager, you will learn how to support internal processes, systems, and compliance requirements, while building confidence in a professional workplace.
Throughout the apprenticeship, you will gain practical experience in areas such as administration, health & safety coordination, IT support, training administration, and document control.
This opportunity will enable you to develop core business skills, effective communication, organisation, and an understanding of how a growing national group operates, alongside working towards a recognised Level 3 qualification.
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
As an apprentice, you will be supported in these responsibilities and will gradually take on more ownership as your skills develop.

- Support the maintenance and updating of internal trackers, logs, and records
- Learn how to monitor expiry dates for policies, procedures, and certifications, ensuring they are reviewed and renewed where required
- Assist in ensuring documentation is accurately filed and easily accessible
- Record updates and completed actions, learning how to set reminders for future deadlines
Health & Safety & Office Coordination
- Assist in coordinating office servicing and maintenance (e.g. alarms, air conditioning, fire safety equipment)
- Work with front-of-house teams to help ensure servicing schedules are met
- Support the collection and organisation of subcontractor documentation (e.g. insurance, RAMS), escalating where required
- Help arrange health & safety site visits with external providers
- Learn how to log and track non-compliance actions and support follow-up actions
- Escalate issues to the relevant manager where appropriate
Employee Lifecycle Support
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes using established checklists
- Assist with IT setup and equipment allocation for new starters
- Help ensure systems, records, and trackers are kept accurate and up to date
Training & Development Administration
- Maintain training records and matrices, ensuring accuracy
- Support monitoring of training requirements and certification expiry dates
- Assist in coordinating training bookings and sending reminders to employees
- Learn how to maintain accurate and up-to-date training data

IT & Asset Support
- Learn how to log support tickets with external IT providers
- Support sourcing quotes and processing approved IT purchases
- Assist in maintaining asset registers and updating tracking systems
- Support basic IT setup (e.g. equipment checks and preparation)
- Liaise with mobile and IT service providers as required
General Business Support
- Provide administrative support across compliance, IT and wider business functions
- Support ad hoc projects and tasks as part of your development
- Contribute to maintaining efficient, organised and compliant processes across the business
- Identify opportunities to improve processes as your knowledge grows
Apprenticeship Development
As part of this role, you will:
- Work towards a Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship qualification
- Develop skills in communication, organisation, stakeholder management and business processes
- Gain experience using workplace systems and tools
- Receive ongoing support through coaching, mentoring and structured learning
