Salary: £15,777 per annum
Location: Eastbourne (on-site)
Contract: Fixed-term 18 month, Full Time, 5 days a week
Reports to: Team Leader
Job Purpose:
Assist the YES East Sussex team in supporting young people facing challenges entering or maintaining education, employment, or training. The role includes direct communication (tracking), administrative tasks, and acting as the initial contact for the Eastbourne office.
Assist on general administration tasks across the team to enable the smooth and efficient running of YES East Sussex alongside support to wider CXK projects in the area.
Assist in managing the YES Social Media with guidance from the Area Managers and Marketing.
Provide reception cover in main office in Eastbourne and will be the first point of contact for those accessing the office. They will also be the voice of YES when answering calls and completing tracking calls, so excellent communication is key for this role.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- To carry out tracking using phone calls, texts, emails, and letters as part of the Tracking Team and record this work on the database.
- Data entry of referrals onto the East Sussex County Council database
- Social media activity: Ensure daily updates are posted across both Facebook and Instagram, using a mix of original content, and reshared posts relevant to our cohort.
- Compile and distribute the weekly jobs and apprenticeship list and fortnightly YES bulletin
- Support the team with purchasing travel for young people and support the Area manager with petty cash, and bank statement reconciliation.
- To minute take at team meetings and other meetings where needed and circulate out to the team.
- Undertake any other duties as may from time to time be required. (The duties may be changed and/or varied to meet changing circumstances at the discretion of the senior management team).
- To undertake and complete the Level 3 Business Apprenticeship qualification.
- Take an active role in relation to own Personal and Continuous Professional Development including attending regular, line manager reviews, PDR and planning own training and development needs using the CPD file and process.
- Ensure that all policies and procedures that relate to employment and health and safety are read and understood. Policies may be revised for time to time, so it is your duty to ensure you regularly review policies and procedures.
- Due to the nature of work undertaken by CXK there is a requirement of all employees to work flexibly across the organisation to support teams and projects as required, including working out of hours and weekends where necessary.
