Business Administration Apprenticeship

A Business Administration Apprenticeship combines practical workplace experience with structured learning. In this role, you help keep an organisation running smoothly by supporting day-to-day operations, communicating effectively with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders, while developing valuable administrative and professional skills.

Wage

  • £12,480 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age
  • National Minimum Wage rate for apprentices

Training

  • Course: Business administrator (level 3)
  • Training provider: SKILLS TO GROUP LIMITED

Hours

  • Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 3.00pm (Wednesday working from home). 30 hours a week

  • Saturday 1 August 2026

What You'll Do at Work

  • Maintain accurate filing systems, ensuring documents are organised, stored, and easily accessible.
  • Input, update, and manage data across internal databases and company systems with a high level of accuracy.
  • Prepare, issue, and track certificates, ensuring records are maintained and updated as required.
  • Support compliance activities by monitoring documentation, maintaining audit trails, and ensuring records meet regulatory and company standards.
  • Create and update document templates, forms, and administrative resources to improve consistency and efficiency.
  • Draft, format, and distribute professional emails and correspondence to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with documentation.

What You'll Learn

  • Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation to write letters or emails, create proposals, perform financial processes, record and analyse data.
  • Produces accurate records and documents including emails, letters, files, payments, reports, and proposals.
  • Exercises proactivity and good judgement. Makes effective decisions based on sound reasoning and is able to deal with challenges in a mature way.
  • Builds and maintains positive relationships within their own team and across the organisation.
  • Demonstrates good communication skills, whether face-to-face, on the telephone, in writing, or on digital platforms.
  • Completes tasks to a high standard. Demonstrates the necessary level of expertise required to complete tasks and applies themselves to continuously improve their work.
  • Takes responsibility for initiating and completing tasks, manages priorities and time in order to successfully meet deadlines.

Training Schedule

  • You will attend sessions as part of your off-the-job training throughout your apprenticeship.
  • Most aspects of your training will be delivered on site by the employer.
  • You will have regular visits from your designated assessor, who will help you and monitor your progress throughout your apprenticeship programme.
