Join Electric11, a growing electrical and renewable energy company in Attleborough. You’ll become part of our experienced office team, learning customer service, job scheduling, business systems and day-to-day administration. This is a hands-on role with real responsibility and excellent opportunities to develop and progress.
What you'll do at work
- Answering telephone calls and responding to customer emails
- Providing friendly, professional and helpful customer service
- Booking appointments and scheduling work for our electricians
- Using our job management software to create and update jobs
- Communicating with customers throughout their job
- Preparing and processing job paperwork and documentation
- Assisting with invoicing and general accounts administration
- Maintaining accurate customer, job and business records
- Using spreadsheets, email and other business software
- Liaising with electricians and helping organise their daily workloads
- Following up customer enquiries and outstanding actions
- Supporting the office team with day-to-day administration
- Learning our business processes and helping identify ways they can be improved
- Gradually taking ownership of regular administrative tasks as your knowledge and confidence develop

What you'll learn
Course contents
Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation in order to: write letters or emails, create proposals, perform financial processes, record and analyse data. Examples include MS Office or equivalent packages. Able to choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem. Able to update and review databases, record information and produce data analysis where required.
Produces accurate records and documents including: emails, letters, files, payments, reports and proposals. Makes recommendations for improvements and present solutions to management. Drafts correspondence, writes reports and able to review others' work. Maintains records and files, handles confidential information in compliance with the organisation's procedures. Coaches others in the processes required to complete these tasks.
Exercises proactivity and good judgement. Makes effective decisions based on sound reasoning and is able to deal with challenges in a mature way. Seeks advice of more experienced team members when appropriate.

Uses relevant project management principles and tools to scope, plan, monitor and report. Plans required resources to successfully deliver projects. Undertakes and leads projects as and when required.
Training schedule
The apprentice will complete the Business Administrator Apprenticeship Level 3 Standard with City College Norwich. Training will take place through a combination of workplace learning at Electric11 and training delivered by City College Norwich. The exact training schedule will be agreed with the college.
More training information
The apprentice will receive structured on-the-job training and support from experienced members of Electric11’s administration team alongside their formal apprenticeship training with City College Norwich. They will be given increasing responsibility as their skills, knowledge and confidence develop.
