Start your career in law with our office apprenticeship.
You’ll gain hands-on experience supporting a busy legal team, developing valuable admin skills while working towards a recognised qualification and a career as a junior legal secretary. No previous experience required just enthusiasm, organisation and a willingness to learn!
As a business administrator your key responsibilities will include (but not limited to) :
- Providing general admin support to other secretaries/fee earners as required, including audio typing
- Supporting fee earners with day-to-day tasks
- Preparing mail and enclosures for despatch, including assisting with preparation of bundles
- Sorting and scanning daily post
- Typing documents quickly and accurately
- Filing documents accurately and promptly using our case management system
- Making outgoing calls to clients and others as and when necessary
- Following our procedures and supporting compliance requirements
- Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately.
We’re looking for a passionate, punctual, articulate apprentice, with a keen eye for detail, who has ambitions to become a legal secretary.

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working.
You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.
Essential qualifications
- GCSE in:
- Maths & English (grade A*-C/9-4)
- Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
Other requirements
This is a successful business with a fantastic reputation that works to a tight schedule. They are looking for someone who can get there in a morning punctually (think about the location of the business and transport links), listen/learn and use their own initiative to quickly become a valued and productive member of the team.
