Hatch Training - Business Administrator Role
Hatch Training are recruiting a Business Administrator to support a personalised gift and e-commerce company based in Redditch.
This is a varied role offering the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across administration, customer service, sales, stock control, finance and general business operations, while working towards a Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship.
You will become an important part of the day-to-day running of the business, supporting with customer enquiries, processing orders, maintaining accurate records and assisting with a range of administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing and managing customer orders from start to finish
- Responding to customer enquiries via email and telephone
- Using Photoshop to make basic amendments to designs and prepare customer orders
- Creating and processing shipping labels
- Updating and maintaining customer and order records
- Checking stock levels and keeping stock records up to date
- Creating and updating product listings
- Supporting with website administration and keeping information accurate
- Assisting with supplier invoices and payments
- Generating basic sales and stock reports
- Carrying out product research and gathering information

The Ideal Candidate
An interest in design or experience using Photoshop would be beneficial, but is not essential.
- Organised and has good attention to detail
- Confident communicating with customers by phone and email
- Comfortable using computers and learning new systems
- Interested in developing a career in business administration
- Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritise their workload
- Friendly, professional and approachable
- Reliable and willing to learn
- Confident working independently as well as part of a small team
- Keen to get involved and understand how different areas of a business work
Current location – Redditch B98 8NG, due to move to Kings Norton in 6 month’s time - The successful candidate will live within a commutable distance from both of these areas.

The successful applicant will be enrolled onto a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship with Hatch Training.
The apprenticeship is 14 months long and you will gain key skills in business administration, including business fundamentals, compliance, communication and professional skills. You will attend remote Tutor-led training sessions, and build skills in the workplace with guidance from your Support Coach.
Eligibility Requirements
Education
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade 4/C or above
- Ability to provide evidence of qualifications
- Willingness to undertake and complete the Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship
- Must not already hold a Level 3 Business Administration qualification
- Must have the Right to Work in the UK
