Summary
Heat Plex is looking for a Business Administrator Apprentice to support the smooth running of the business and its daily operations. You’ll help keep the business organised, supporting administration, coordinating with customers and staff, managing information and records and assisting with the smooth delivery of business activities.
Wage
£14,976 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
This is a great opportunity to gain practical business administration experience while developing key skills in organisation, communication, customer service, time management and business coordination within a professional and fast-paced environment. You’ll work closely with the Heat Plex team, gaining valuable insight into how a business operates while building the skills and experience needed for a successful career in business administration.
Office based role supporting the day to day running of the business, including:
- Answering incoming calls and managing client enquiries
- Monitoring and responding to emails
- Scheduling engineer jobs and diary management
- Client management and coordination
- Staff and access management support
- Building and maintaining key client relationships
- General administrative support to the Managing Director and operations team

What you'll learn
Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation in order to: write letters or emails, create proposals, perform financial processes, record and analyse data. Examples include MS Office or equivalent packages.
Able to choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem.
Able to update and review databases, record information and produce data analysis where required.
Produces accurate records and documents including: emails, letters, files, payments, reports and proposals.
Makes recommendations for improvements and present solutions to management.
Drafts correspondence, writes reports and able to review others' work.
Maintains records and files, handles confidential information in compliance with the organisation's procedures.

Training schedule
The apprentice will attend Waltham Forest College, located at 707 Forest Road, Walthamstow, London, E17 4JB, as part of their apprenticeship training.
1 day per week at college
On-site college-based training
The remaining days will be spent working with FDE, gaining practical experience, and developing business administration skills in the workplace
Training will support the apprentice in building the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required to successfully complete their apprenticeship

Supporting the administration and smooth running of Heat Plex
You will attend Waltham Forest College one day per week, with the remaining days spent at Heat Plex, gaining hands-on experience and applying your learning in a real workplace.
This apprenticeship will give you a recognised qualification, valuable practical experience and transferable skills to support your future career in business administration, while gaining an understanding of how a professional business operates.

Essential qualifications
- GCSE in: English (grade Level 4 - 9 or A-C)
- Mathematics (grade Level 4 - 9 or A-C)
