Business Administration Apprentice
Amore Group is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Business Administration Apprentice to join their growing team in Runcorn. This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to begin their career in business administration while gaining valuable workplace experience and industry-recognised qualifications.
About the Role
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
Your duties will include:
- Maintaining confidential employee/contractor records, HR database, and filing systems ensuring information is accurate, up to date, and that staff files are compliant with regulatory requirements
- Co-ordinate onboarding including induction schedules, starter documentation, and system access requests
- Monitoring and responding to emails received by the people function, dealing with routine enquiries, and escalating matters where appropriate
- Data inputting on systems to include Sage, Web Roster, Access Screening
- Data inputting and reporting on Excel spreadsheets to include tracking of annualised hours and annual leave
- Attend meetings as scheduled to produce detailed and confidential records for review by HR advisor/manager
- Monitor and follow up actions arising from meetings, updating action trackers, and chasing outstanding responses
- Maintain accurate records and up to date data to ensure information is always current and available by the team (Visa’s, DBS’, and Training Records)
- Prepare, format, process, and file HR documentation, including offer letters, contract amendments, policy communications, and outcome letters
- Draft internal communications, notices, and policy reminders for employees ensuring approved by line manager before circulating
- Maintain strict confidentiality when handling employee information and sensitive HR documentation
- Complete apprenticeship coursework, maintain the apprenticeship portfolio, participate in progress reviews, and undertake off-the-job learning activities
This list is not exhaustive, and the apprentice may be required to undertake other reasonable administrative duties appropriate to the role.

Apprenticeship Details
Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.
Course Contents
- Receive, retrieve, process, record, and store information and data
- Operate within organisational policies, standards, and procedures and relevant legislation respecting confidentiality; adapting to operational changes as they occur
- Use software packages and tools for example AI or automation to input and process data and information, to contribute to routine administration tasks in line with organisational policies and procedures
- Handle and communicate information in line with organisational policies, procedures, and security requirements
- Recognise and rectify issues and escalate as required. For example, stakeholder documents and reports, safeguarding concerns, or abusive behaviour
- Plan and review administration tasks allocated by supervisor
- Maintain professional relationships with stakeholders
- Monitor and report on the use of resources such as materials, equipment, and supplies
- Use agreed organisational systems and protocols to manage calendars, diaries, and booking systems
- Source information as requested by stakeholders, ensuring they are shareable. As examples, client records, signpost to services or reports
- Use continuing professional development including self-reflection to support current and future training and development needs
- Use communication tools to respond to stakeholders using professional language and organisational etiquette
- Operate within agreed health and safety standards
- Use time management tools to meet deadlines
- Handle feedback following expected professional etiquette
- Maintain wellbeing, accessing organisational support mechanisms if required
- Review and check own work
- Use cloud services to share documents for use and/or collaboration
- Protect against security threats for example, strong passwords, two-step verification, office tailgating, and display of security passes or clothing that identifies secure workplaces
- Seek clarification and help, when required, to complete assigned tasks within agreed timeframes

Apprenticeship Standard
Level 2 Business Administration Assistant Apprentice Standard
- E-learning, remote learning sessions, and face-to-face delivery delivered within the workplace
- Training will be carried out by Inspiro’s Development Coaches, using a variety of blended learning resources combined with their expertise in the delivery of apprenticeship learning
Qualifications
GCSE in:
- English (grade 4-9 or C-A)
- Maths (grade 4-9 or C-A)
Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
