Summary
Office Junior position available within our Administration and Accounts department. The role includes updating details and photos for our member hotels and venues, plus meeting and greeting visitors, including hotel and venue representatives. Training is provided through Boston College towards a Business Administration qualification.
Wage
£16,640 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Meet and greet visitors/accept and sign for deliveries
- Answer incoming calls from hotels and clients
- Contact hotels on pre-arrival call to confirm they have clients payment details and allowance information
- General office duties to include photocopying, laminating, scanning documents, shredding, binding, printing address labels
- Frank post daily
- Check stock supplies for stationery, cleaning products, drink supplies
- Update towns and attractions to existing members and non-members hotels and venues
- Addition of photos and data onto our website for member hotels
- Cleansing of current database
- Research new properties to add to database
- Assist in other areas of the department as required
- Take banking to bank or run errands (if applicant has driving license, not essential)

What you'll learn
Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation in order to:
- Write letters or emails, create proposals, perform financial processes, record and analyse data. Examples include MS Office or equivalent packages.
- Choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem.
- Update and review databases, record information, and produce data analysis where required.
- Produce accurate records and documents including: emails, letters, files, payments, reports, and proposals.
- Make recommendations for improvements and present solutions to management.
- Draft correspondence, write reports, and able to review others' work.
- Maintain records and files, handle confidential information in compliance with the organisation's procedures.
- Coach others in the processes required to complete these tasks.
- Exercise proactivity and good judgment.
- Make effective decisions based on sound reasoning and is able to deal with challenges in a mature way.
- Seek advice of more experienced team members when appropriate.
- Build and maintain positive relationships within their own team and across the organisation.
- Demonstrate ability to influence and challenge appropriately.
- Become a role model to peers and team members, developing coaching skills as they gain area knowledge.
- Demonstrate good communication skills, whether face-to-face, on the telephone, in writing, or on digital platforms.
- Use the most appropriate channels to communicate effectively.

The Business Administrator Apprenticeship will take you 18 months to complete.
You will attend College at least twice a month throughout the year where you will receive one-to-one support from your assessor and functional skills tutors.

Essential qualifications
- GCSE in: English (grade 4 and above)
- GCSE in: Maths (grade 4 and above)
Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

About this employer
We are a hotel and conference agency working closely with promoting hotels and venues along with providing a service for our corporate and private clients using us to book accommodation, meetings, and travel. We are an office based in Gosberton, near Spalding with approximately 30 employees.
