Business Administration Apprentice
MCC Partners Accountants Limited is a small, dynamic, and growing accountancy practice in Gravesend, Kent, providing a full range of accounting and tax services to SMEs, sole traders, landlords, and the construction industry. We take pride in fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment, and we're looking for an enthusiastic Business Administration Apprentice to join our admin team as we move into new town-centre offices.
Job Title: Business Administration Apprentice
Duties:
Client Service Responsibilities:
- Act as a first point of contact for clients, answering phones and handling enquiries professionally
- Manage incoming emails and direct queries to the right team member
- Book client meetings and coordinate diaries
- Chase clients for outstanding records and information in a timely and friendly manner
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Assist with new client onboarding, including engagement letters and setting up client folders
- Carry out anti-money laundering (AML) and identity checks as part of our compliance process
- Update and maintain client records in our practice management software
- Request HMRC agent authorisations and deal with routine HMRC and Companies House correspondence
- Manage incoming and outgoing post, and log client documents as they arrive
- Scan, file, and organise client paperwork across our digital document management systems
- Help maintain office supplies and equipment

General Responsibilities:
- Work alongside experienced team members to develop your skills
- Take part in the Business Administration apprenticeship training programme and complete coursework
- Support the wider team during busy periods
Qualifications:
- No prior office experience required, as full training will be provided
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills essential
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office (particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Ability to learn new software quickly
- Professional, friendly telephone manner
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Good organisational and time management abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Comfortable working in an office that can be fast-moving at times
- Reliable, punctual, and eager to develop professionally
- Additional languages are useful but not required
