Varied Business Administration Apprenticeship

A varied business administration apprenticeship with order processing on Sage 200 at its core, alongside spreadsheets, customer support, SharePoint, AI, and other digital systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process customer orders accurately on Sage 200 Professional, checking key details and maintaining clear records.
  • Help track orders from receipt through to delivery or collection, liaising with colleagues and customers where needed.
  • Maintain and check spreadsheets, internal records, and other business information.
  • Assist with quotations, customer documentation, and general commercial administration.
  • Use SharePoint, Microsoft 365, approved AI tools, and other company systems to organize information and support efficient working.
  • Support customer-service administration and occasional website, content, or other digital tasks.
  • Help with general office administration and gain an understanding of our products, warehouse, and wider business operations.
  • Take part in training and development to build administration, IT, numeracy, and communication skills.

Course Contents

Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organization in order to: write letters or emails, create proposals, perform financial processes, record, and analyze data. Examples include MS Office or equivalent packages. Able to choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem. Able to update and review databases, record information, and produce data analysis where required.

Produces accurate records and documents including: emails, letters, files, payments, reports, and proposals. Makes recommendations for improvements and present solutions to management.
