Business Administration Apprentice

We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Business Administration Apprentice to join our dynamic team at our Head Office at Rosehill, Carlisle. This exciting opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about serving and supporting the Rural and Agricultural industry and who wants to assist with the day to day Customer Service requirements alongside an established team, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and standards are achieved as well as actively promoting and driving sales.

The Job

To play an important role in providing efficient, accurate and effective administrative and clerical support to the Customer Services function, helping to ensure that customer needs are met in a professional, timely and consistent manner.

The role will provide an excellent opportunity to develop a broad range of business administration and customer service skills within a busy agricultural environment. Working closely with experienced members of the Customer Services team, the Apprentice will gain practical experience of business processes, systems, customer communications and general office administration while working towards a Level 2/3 Business Administration Apprenticeship

  • Assist with the processing, maintenance and updating of customer information, records and documentation, ensuring information is accurate, complete and kept up to date.
  • Support the team with general customer service administration, including responding to queries, processing orders and directing enquiries to the appropriate colleague or department.
  • Develop a good understanding of the company's products, services, customers and internal processes, with a particular focus on the agricultural sector.
  • Manage a varied workload within a fast-paced office environment, learning to prioritise multiple tasks, meet deadlines and respond appropriately to changing requirements.
  • Develop confidence in speaking with customers by telephone, handling customer enquiries and providing appropriate support.
  • Demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Consistently achieve personal objectives and contribute positively towards the achievement of wider team goals and business objectives.
  • Develop positive and professional working relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Adopt a proactive approach to learning and development, asking questions, seeking guidance when required and taking opportunities to develop new skills and knowledge.
  • Adhere to Company and Group policies and procedures, including but not limited to those relating to Safety, Health and Environmental. Also, to ensure all relevant legislation and approved codes of practice, are adhered to in respect of ongoing compliance, including but not limited to UFAS, FIAS, & NOPS assurance schemes.

Skills, Experience And Qualities Required
