Business Administration Apprentice
An exciting opportunity to join Bostonair Group as a Business Administration Apprentice, supporting the delivery of aviation training services. You will gain hands-on experience in customer service, administration, training coordination and record management while working within a busy and growing aviation training team.
What you'll do at work
The successful apprentice will:
- Answer incoming telephone calls and assist customers with enquiries
- Respond to customer emails and process orders accurately
- Prepare reports and invoices when required
- Maintain training records and learner documentation
- Produce training certificates for clients worldwide
- Support the coordination of training activities across the business
- Assist with updating and maintaining online training courses
- Support the Online Training Manager with administrative duties.
- Arrange travel and accommodation where required for training activities
- Carry out general office administration tasks including printing, filing and document preparation
- Work closely with colleagues across the Aviation Training Department

What you'll learn
Course contents
Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation in order to:
- write letters or emails
- create proposals
- perform financial processes
- record and analyse data
Examples include MS Office or equivalent packages. Able to choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem. Able to update and review databases, record information and produce data analysis where required.
Produces accurate records and documents including:
- emails
- letters
- files
- payments
- reports and proposals
Makes recommendations for improvements and present solutions to management. Drafts correspondence, writes reports and able to review others' work. Maintains records and files, handles confidential information in compliance with the organisation's procedures. Coaches others in the processes required to complete these tasks.

Training schedule
The apprentice will work towards the Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard.
Training will be delivered by Hull College through a mixture of workplace learning, one-to-one reviews and apprenticeship workshops, allowing the apprentice to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for a successful career in business administration.
Essential qualifications
- GCSE in:
- English (grade 5)
- Maths (grade 5)
Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

Other requirements
Applicants should have GCSE maths and English at Grade 5/Level 5 or above.
No previous experience is required, although experience in an office environment would be an advantage.
