Business Administration Apprentice - Skills For Work

  • Age 16-18 - £8 per hour
  • Age 19 or over in first year - £8 per hour
  • Aged 18-20 and have completed first year - £10.00 per hour
  • Aged 21 or over and have completed first year - £12.21 per hour

29.6 hours per week

The Job

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Skills for Work team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable workplace experience whilst working towards a Level 2 Business Assistant Apprenticeship followed by a Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship.

In this role, you will provide essential administrative support to the Skills for Work team, helping to ensure the smooth delivery of a range of courses and services. You will assist with setting up and maintaining administrative systems and processes, ensuring records and data are accurate, up to date and available to support service performance and continuous improvement.

Working closely with the Skills for Work Manager, you will act as a key point of contact for Job Centre Plus, partner organisations and students, responding to enquiries in a professional and timely manner. You will develop a wide range of administrative, organisational and customer service skills while gaining practical experience in a supportive and busy working environment.

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a positive and reliable individual who is keen to start a career in administration and committed to completing a Level 2 and Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship, including the End Point Assessment, within the duration of the contract. You will be comfortable using a range of IT systems, including Microsoft Word, Outlook and basic Excel, whether this experience has been gained through education, work experience, volunteering or personal use.

You will have an organised approach to your work and understand the importance of maintaining accurate records and handling information appropriately. You should be confident communicating with a variety of people, both in writing and over the telephone, and enjoy providing excellent customer service and support to others.
