Wage
- £17,472 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age
- National Minimum Wage rate for apprentices

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
This role is essential in providing administrative support and assisting our staff in delivering high-quality care services. You will gain hands-on experience while contributing to our mission of supporting individuals in their life choices.
You will gain valuable knowledge and skills through a structured learning programme and hands on experience such as managing information systems, supporting operational efficiencies. Liaising and coordinating with staff and outside agencies.
You will report to the Housing Manager and Registered Manager.
As an Apprentice Business Administration Assistant, your general tasks will include:
- Answering emails.
- Taking calls from our support team, local councils, utilities and tradesmen - record and report to Housing Manager.
- Completing Grant and benefit application forms.
- Build relationships with Plymouth City Council, regarding housing benefit and council tax.
- Monitor any damage or maintenance requirements at our properties.
- Schedule all tasks with our maintenance team.
- Assess the level of risk to Clients and staff and respond accordingly.
- Analyse and monitor utility bills and payments.
- Understand compliance issues and laws around housing.
- Complete health and safety audits.
- Record hours and allocate tasks to maintenance team.
- Coordinating meetings, sending invites, and booking meeting rooms.
- Managing the organisations computer data base and word processing functions.
- To organise computer files and ensure a regular and timely back up is completed according to the Company procedures.

What you'll learn
Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation in order to: write letters or emails, create proposals, perform financial processes, record and analyse data. Examples include MS Office or equivalent packages.
Able to choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem.
Able to update and review databases, record information and produce data analysis where required.
Produces accurate records and documents including: emails, letters, files, payments, reports and proposals.
Makes recommendations for improvements and present solutions to management.
Drafts correspondence, writes reports and able to review others' work.
Maintains records and files, handles confidential information in compliance with the organisation's procedures.
Coaches others in the processes required to complete these tasks.
Exercises proactivity and good judgement.
Makes effective decisions based on sound reasoning and is able to deal with challenges in a mature way.
Seeks advice of more experienced team members when appropriate.
Builds and maintains positive relationships within their own team and across the organisation.

Essential qualifications
- GCSE in: English (grade 4)
- Maths (grade 4)
