Business Administrator Apprentice

Inspiro Learning is recruiting on behalf of BCA Automotive Fleet based at CTS Corby, NN17 4AP who have an opening for a Business Administrator apprentice to join their highly skilled team. This position will enable you to learn the skills and knowledge required to become a qualified Business Administrator.

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship - NN17 5AF.

The successful individual will provide academic learning and pastoral administrative support to the apprentices and employees that sit within the BCA Academy Apprenticeship programme and Academy Learner Programmes, to be the liaison between the site, learner and Academy. This role is important to ensure that all administrative tasks can be completely in line with IMI regulations and business-critical time frames. Also to provide the Academy with invigilation and special circumstance exam support as required by the IMI.

Key Responsibilities

Administration:

  • To register new learners for IMI and BCA training programmes
  • To claim all certificates for any IMI training programmes
  • To work with the Training Specialists to deliver on new training requests
  • To oversee and control the training inbox
  • Manage the training trackers
  • Send out joining instructions to both learners and trainers for all training sessions
  • Work with sites to arrange any equipment required prior to training
  • To manage the online health and safety system and to update and book equipment services
  • To manage the car fleet vehicles at the academy to ensure MOT, service and monthly mileage reports are completed
  • Arrange and book accommodation and travel for learners
  • Support the creation of communication plans and updating of the intranet/learning hubs
  • Manage the data reporting and dashboards and support production of data packs for the business

Best Practice and Innovation:

  • Work with the Academy lead to update policies and procedure documents
  • To manage the Academy online policy documents as per IMI guidelines
  • To work with the Academy Lead and Specialists to identify improvements that can be made to SOP’s

Governance, risk and controls:

  • To be the designated invigilator for all IMI examinations
  • To be the designated reader or invigilator for any learners that require additional support during exams. This support to be opened to not the wider business
  • To manage the future online learner system for all Employer Provider apprentices

Stakeholder Management:

  • To work closely with onsite management to communicate training requirements and to administer training requests
  • Work closely with the wider L&D team to ensure best practice is adopted at the academy and that any collaborations are closely managed

Course contents

Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation in order to: write letters or emails, create proposals, perform financial processes, record and analyse data. Examples include MS Office or equivalent packages. Able to choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem. Able to update and review databases, record information and produce data analysis where required. Produces accurate records and documents including: emails, letters, files, payments, reports and proposals. Makes recommendations for improvements and present solutions to management. Drafts correspondence, writes reports and able to review others' work. Maintains records and files, handles confidential information in compliance with the organisation's procedures. Coaches others in the processes required to complete these tasks. Exercises proactivity and good judgement. Makes effective decisions based on sound reasoning and is able to deal with challenges in a mature way. Seeks advice of more experienced team members when appropriate. Builds and maintains positive relationships within their own team and across the organisation. Demonstrates ability to influence and challenge appropriately. Becomes a role model to peers and team members, developing coaching skills as they gain area knowledge. Demonstrates good communication skills, whether face-to-face, on the telephone, in writing or on digital platforms. Uses the most appropriate channels to communicate effectively. Training schedule

As an apprentice, you will receive mentoring in the workplace and training from Remit Group to help develop your skills and achieve your Level 3.

On successful completion, you will receive:

  • Level 3 in Business Administration
  • Functional Skills Level 2 in English & maths (if required)

  • GCSE in:
    • English (grade 4/C)
    • Maths (grade 4/C)
