Job Description

Business Administrator

Location: Exeter

Salary: £29,865.26 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (part-time hours considered for the right candidate)


About the Company

South West Norse works in collaboration with Devon County Council, partnering with a number of public and private sector clients across the Southwest to deliver a portfolio of property services.

About the Role

We are currently looking to recruit a Business Administrator to join our Exeter-based team located at Venture House. You will be responsible for providing liaison and coordination of operations within South West Norse, particularly focusing on financial administrative tasks.

Main Tasks and Accountabilities

  • To assist the Senior Administrator with local project data on the South West Norse project database
  • Provide technical support to South West Norse employees through effective resolution of queries and one-to-one support
  • Dealing with project-related queries from both staff and clients
  • Support the Technical Administrator specifically with regards to Devon County Council purchase orders and invoices, service term contracts, and tender administration
  • Resolve problems and communicate and deal with customers and suppliers to resolve issues and problems
  • Troubleshoot problems and issues, using knowledge and judgment to identify and follow appropriate courses of action to resolve

Your Experience

We are looking for you to demonstrate proven Office/Helpdesk, administrative experience. In addition to this, you will be able to show:

  • Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, comfortable liaising with clients and members of the public
  • Previous experience processing invoices and orders would be desirable
  • Capable of producing accurate documentation and reports
  • Excellent numerical skills
  • Knowledge of construction or project management would be an advantage but not essential
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Attention to Detail
