About The Role
Tops Day Nurseries are currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to complete their Level 3 in Business Administration during a 18 month Apprenticeship.
This is an exciting opportunity to complete your apprenticeship within a rapidly expanding organisation. Working within the Admin department, you will help the team with various administrative duties to support the smooth running of the team.

Whilst working in this role you will be working towards your Business Admin Level 3 which will be delivered onsite.

About The Nursery
Tops Bournemouth Nursery is a 131-place day nursery and preschool based at Royal Bournemouth Hospital, providing Early Education and Care for children aged 3 months to preschool. Inspired by Reggio Emilia and Scandinavian approaches, we create beautiful, open-ended learning environments that encourage imagination, creativity, and critical thinking. As one of the largest nurseries within Tops Day Nurseries, we have supported thousands of families through nurturing, play-based learning and strong key worker relationships. Children enjoy a wide range of activities including Forest School, cooking, yoga, Boogie Mites, meditation, football fun, and more, helping them grow in confidence, curiosity, and independence.
What does the role involve?
- Support the manager with photocopying; filing; distributing and sending post; refreshments; lifting and carrying equipment; trips to the post office and shops.
- Use of telephone, fax and computer
- To prepare and print documents as requested
- Pass on relevant information to the relevant person at Head Office
- Attend staff meetings
- Assist with distributing stock to nurseries and care homes
- Have a good level of communication skills and deal with enquiries on the telephone whilst covering the main reception
- Meeting and greeting visitors
- Processing incoming and outgoing post

What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who is passionate and enthusiastic about gaining the relevant experience, skills and qualifications to begin their career within an office environment. Skills include:
- Self-motivated, reliable, enthusiastic, team player and work effectively under pressure.
- Customer service skills and professional attitude
- Strong Administration skills - including Microsoft Office, excel, word and PowerPoint
- Letter writing and mail - merging skills
- Organisation skills and ability to adapt to day to day changes
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to do so with different levels of employee confidently
