Summary
SPX Opticians is looking for a hardworking and friendly Business Administrator Apprentice to join our busy independent opticians. You will gain valuable experience in administration, customer service, and business operations while working towards a Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship with Nottingham College.
Wage: £13,260 a year
Minimum wage rates: £8.50 per hour and £13,260 before tax
Work
Training course: Business administrator (level 3)
Hours:
- Monday - Friday: 8:45am - 5:15pm
- Saturday: 8:45am - 3:15pm
30-minute unpaid break each working day
30 hours a week
What you'll do at work
Duties include:
- Answering phone calls and welcoming customers
- Booking appointments and contacting customers
- Filing records and completing paperwork
- Using Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
- Supporting staff training and meetings
- Assisting with customer service and optical duties

Training
Training provider: NOTTINGHAM COLLEGE
Training course: Business administrator (level 3)
Course contents:
- Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems
- Ability to write letters or emails, create proposals, perform financial processes, record and analyse data
- Ability to update and review databases, record information, and produce data analysis
- Proficient in MS Office or equivalent packages
- Demonstrates good communication skills, whether face-to-face, on the telephone, in writing, or on digital platforms
- Builds and maintains positive relationships within their own team and across the organisation
