Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:30am - 4:30pm

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
You will work as part of a supportive team, assisting with a variety of business administration duties. You will gain experience across different areas of the business and develop valuable skills that will support your long-term career. You will receive training and support throughout your apprenticeship, with the opportunity to take on more responsibility as your confidence and experience develops.
Key responsibilities:
- Accurate data entry, updating and managing information across company systems and databases
- Answering incoming telephone calls, transferring calls, taking messages and providing basic information
- Providing general administrative support to the team
- Preparing documents, reports and correspondence
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the office
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the business
- Carrying out online research to source potential candidates and clients
- Searching job boards, social media and professional networking platforms to identify potential candidates and clients
- Maintaining accurate records and databases
- Supporting the team with general administrative duties
- Developing strong relationships and communicating professionally with clients, candidates and colleagues
- Ensuring all information is entered accurately and handled in a timely manner
- Supporting team meetings, collaborative projects and general business activities

Training provider: THE RECALVI ENTERPRISE LTD
Training course: Business administrator (level 3)
Course contents:
Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation in order to:
- Write letters or emails
- Create proposals
- Perform financial processes
- Record and analyse data
Examples include MS Office or equivalent packages.
Able to choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem.
Able to update and review databases, record information and produce data analysis where required.
Produces accurate records and documents including:
- Emails
- Letters
- Files
- Payments
- Reports
- Proposals
Makes recommendations for improvements and present solutions to management.
Drafts correspondence, writes reports and able to review others' work.
Maintains records and files, handles confidential information in compliance with the organisation's procedures.
Coaches others in the processes required to complete these tasks.
Exercises proactivity and good judgement.
Makes effective decisions based on sound reasoning and is able to deal with challenges in a mature way.
Seeks advice of more experienced team members when appropriate.
Builds and maintains positive relationships within their own team and across the organisation.
Demonstrates ability to influence and challenge appropriately.
Becomes a role model to peers and team members, developing coaching skills as they gain area knowledge.
Demonstrates good communication skills, whether face-to-face, on the telephone, in writing or on digital platforms.

Reliable, hardworking and eager to develop. No previous business administration experience is required, as full training will be provided.
Apprenticeship eligibility requirements:
- Must meet the eligibility requirements for the Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship
- Must meet initial assessment requirements in English and maths
- Must have the right to work in the UK and meet apprenticeship funding eligibility criteria
