Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship

  • Duration: 18 – 24-month fixed term contract (including apprenticeship programme)
  • Working options: office-based
  • Working pattern: full time
  • Working hours: 37.5 (Monday – Friday) hours per week
  • Reports to: Division Resolution Lead

HFIS is seeking an enthusiastic Apprentice Business Administrator to join our Government Schemes Division. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a variety of business functions while working towards a nationally recognised Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship qualification.

Through a structured two-year development programme, you'll gain exposure to several areas of the business, including customer service, dispute resolution, membership services, business development, compliance, risk and marketing. No two days will be the same, and you'll develop valuable skills that will form the foundation of a long-term professional career.

  • Supporting the administration of membership schemes and customer records
  • Assisting with customer enquiries via telephone, email and written correspondence
  • Helping maintain accurate databases, records and filing systems
  • Supporting dispute resolution activities and case administration
  • Preparing reports, presentations and business communications
  • Assisting with compliance, risk and operational activities
  • Supporting business development and customer engagement initiatives
  • Contributing to projects and continuous improvement activities
  • Attending team meetings and following up on agreed actions
  • Working across different departments to gain broad business experience
  • Helping prepare management information and performance reports

What we’re looking for

We're looking for someone with enthusiasm, curiosity and a willingness to learn.

You'll ideally have:

  • An interest in business administration and professional services
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • A positive attitude and proactive approach to learning
  • Strong teamwork and relationship-building skills
  • A customer-focused mindset and desire to provide excellent service
  • A responsible approach to handling information and maintaining confidentiality

Previous office experience is not required. We're looking for someone with potential who is eager to develop new skills and build a successful career.
