Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Support the sales team with day-to-day administration tasks
- Process customer orders, pricing and quotations
- Respond to customer enquiries via phone and email
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and suppliers
- Maintain accurate records and update internal systems
- Support the team with sales opportunities and business growth
- Learn commercial and sales processes to prepare for progression into a Sales Representative role
- Provide excellent customer service and support throughout the sales journey

What you'll learn
Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation in order to:
- Write letters or emails, create proposals, perform financial processes, record and analyse data. Examples include MS Office or equivalent packages.
- Able to choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem.
- Able to update and review databases, record information and produce data analysis where required.

Produces accurate records and documents including:
- Emails, letters, files, payments, reports and proposals.
- Makes recommendations for improvements and present solutions to management.
- Drafts correspondence, writes reports and able to review others' work.
- Maintains records and files, handles confidential information in compliance with the organisation's procedures.
- Coaches others in the processes required to complete these tasks.

Training schedule
You’ll have a lesson every other week for the first 8 weeks, before moving to monthly lessons. Each session will be 1.5 hours and delivered online via Teams by a tutor from Apprenticeship Connect, where you’ll learn alongside other apprentices from across the UK. You’ll also receive 7 hours per week to complete assignments and off-the-job training. From the start of your apprenticeship, you’ll be assigned a dedicated Success Coach who you can book 1-to-1 support sessions with between 10am and 1pm.
