Business Administrator (Remote/Flexible)
Pipelines Plumbing & Heating Ltd

We're looking for an organised, proactive and enthusiastic Business Administrator to become an important part of our growing team.
This is far more than a traditional administration role. You'll be involved in many different areas of the business, giving you the opportunity to develop valuable skills in marketing, finance, customer service, operations and HR while helping us deliver an outstanding experience for our customers.

What you'll be doing
No two days are the same, but your responsibilities will include:
Customer Service & Business Development
- Contacting new and existing customers
- Booking appointments and managing enquiries
- Following up quotations and customer leads
- Maintaining excellent customer relationships
- Supporting customer retention and repeat business
- Handling customer queries professionally and efficiently
Marketing
- Creating engaging content for Facebook, Instagram and other platforms
- Assisting with marketing campaigns
- Monitoring marketing performance and reporting results
- Helping develop new ideas to promote the business
- Supporting website and online presence where required

Finance
- Raising invoices and processing payments
- Monitoring outstanding invoices
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Assisting with finance administration
Operations
- Scheduling engineers and allocating work efficiently
- Liaising with customers regarding appointments
- Supporting engineers throughout the working day
- Helping ensure jobs run smoothly from enquiry through to completion
- Maintaining accurate CRM and job records
HR & Business Support
- Assisting with recruitment as the company grows
- Supporting onboarding of new employees
- Maintaining staff records
- Assisting with business processes and continuous improvement
- Providing general administrative support across the business
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Proactive and able to work independently
- Friendly, approachable and professional
- An excellent communicator, both written and verbal
- Comfortable speaking with customers on the phone
- Confident using technology and learning new systems
- Competent using Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams)
- Good at prioritising workloads and managing time effectively
- Reliable, trustworthy and dependable
- Positive, motivated and eager to learn
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change

Experience in administration or customer service is desirable but not essential. Above all, we're looking for someone with the right attitude, willingness to learn and a genuine desire to help our customers.
