Job Description
As a Business Advisory at Netcompany you will join a market-leading technology company at the forefront of digital transformation across the Tax and Customs sector. Working within one of the UK's most strategically important government domains, you will help shape the future of digital tax administration, customs services, and cross-border trade.
Operating at the intersection of business strategy, user needs, and technology innovation, you will build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, identify emerging opportunities, and develop solutions that deliver measurable outcomes for citizens, businesses, and government.
As part of the growing Netcompany team you will play a key role in expanding our presence within the wider public sector. You will contribute to the development of our service offerings, support strategic business development activities, and help position Netcompany as a trusted transformation partner for some of the UK's largest and most complex digital programmes.
As a sector expert in our Tax & Customs team you will help shape the future of Digital Tax and Trade and have access to our international domain experts.

Key activities:
- Applying your in-depth knowledge of strategy, policy, operational processes and technology landscape to shape opportunities and support the successful delivery of complex digital transformation programmes.
- Supporting the development of future-facing transformation strategies and plans, helping to build the case for change, identifying the user and business benefits of Digital Transformation.
- Advising on appropriate scope, approach, objectives, timelines and resourcing for digital delivery initiatives and identifying any organisational change or wider implications and dependencies.
- Building and maintaining trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, acting as a strategic advisor and identifying opportunities to support their long-term objectives.
- Actively contributing to the development of the Advisory function, sharing knowledge and collaborating across the account.
- Supporting the development of internal go-to-market strategy within Tax & Customs (e.g. developing offerings, methods and thought leadership).
Qualifications
- Significant experience in consulting, business development, account leadership or digital transformation roles within Tax, Customs, Borders, Trade or related government sectors.
- An understanding of government delivery frameworks, including GDS standards and service transformation principles.
- Proven ability to build and maintain executive-level client relationships and develop trusted advisor status with senior stakeholders.
- Commercial acumen with experience identifying, shaping and winning complex consulting, transformation or technology opportunities.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively across business, operational and technical audiences.
- Understanding of emerging technologies, digital transformation trends and their practical application within large public sector organisations.
