Business Analyst / Consultant
Private Equity | Hedge Funds | Venture Capital | Banking
£50,000 - £80,000 (depending on level/experience)

Meraki Talent is partnering with a Financial Services firm that specialises in supporting Private Equity and Private Markets businesses.
They are looking for a Business Analyst / Consultant to join their growing delivery team. This is a varied, client-facing role for someone who enjoys combining business analysis, project delivery, stakeholder management and solution design.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Programme Delivery
- Lead and deliver multiple client projects and workstreams, managing priorities across engagements.
- Take ownership of project plans, timelines, milestones, budgets and deliverables.
- Monitor risks, issues and dependencies, escalating effectively where required.
- Support projects throughout the full delivery lifecycle, including scoping, requirements, solution design, testing, training and implementation.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Lead client meetings, workshops and regular project updates.
- Communicate complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Prepare and present materials for Steering Committees and governance forums.
- Recognise potential account development opportunities and communicate these to senior leadership.

Business Analysis & Solution Design
- Analyse business processes, operating models and client requirements to identify challenges and opportunities.
- Gather, document and validate functional and business requirements.
- Work closely with operations, technology and data teams to develop effective solutions.
- Support process mapping, testing and implementation activities.
- Contribute to both tactical improvements and longer-term strategic solutions.
Internal Contribution
- Contribute to internal initiatives, forums and continuous improvement projects.
- Support the development of internal methodologies, tools and best practice.
- Provide regular updates to leadership on project and internal initiatives.
- Take ownership of your own professional development and continue building expertise within Private Capital.
Person Specification
We are open to candidates from a range of backgrounds, but this role would particularly suit someone who is:
- A Senior Business Analyst looking to move into a more client-facing consulting position.
- A Senior Analyst ready to take greater ownership of projects and client delivery.
- An existing Consultant from a boutique or mid-sized consultancy looking for exposure to Private Capital.
- A Business Analyst with experience across financial services, investment operations or private equity.

You MUST have:
- AT LEAST two years experience delivering projects within Financial Services, Private Equity or Private Markets.
- Exposure to tools such as Power BI, SQL, iLevel or Visio would be beneficial.
- Strong business analysis and requirements-gathering experience.
- Experience managing projects, workstreams or significant project deliverables.
- Strong stakeholder and client management skills.
- Experience with change, transformation or implementation projects.
- An understanding of operational processes, data platforms and reporting environments.
- Exposure to Private Equity middle-office functions or investment operations would be highly beneficial.
- Experience with middle-office technology implementations, investment data, portfolio reporting, fund operations or performance reporting would be advantageous.
- Strong Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office skills.
