Business Analysis Manager - Reinsurance
Location: London
Working Arrangement: Hybrid, with flexible working options available
Contract: Permanent, full-time
Overview
Our client is an international insurance business seeking a Business Analysis Manager to support its reinsurance function.
The role will lead and mentor a team of Business Analysts while acting as a key link between business and IT. It will focus on process, business and systems analysis, agile delivery, strategic roadmaps and the implementation of business-led change.
The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, external vendors and industry experts to improve analysis quality, support strategic objectives and deliver effective change.
Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a team of Business Analysts.
- Act as the interface between business and IT teams.
- Build domain expertise to support business strategy.
- Lead within an agile working environment, encouraging collaboration, innovation and flexibility.
- Carry out process, business and systems analysis to identify gaps and define or redesign processes.
- Manage process documentation and support project implementation.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of the strategic technology roadmap.
- Support the implementation of business-led change.
- Improve the quality of business analysis outputs.
- Build relationships with industry experts and stakeholders.
- Align solutions with business and IT strategy.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings.
- Communicate updates and changes in IT strategy to business stakeholders.

Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels across IT and the business.
- Strong insurance or London Market experience and domain expertise.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and working within matrix structures.
- Experience negotiating with and influencing executive-level sponsors.
- Proven experience interpreting business strategy and translating it into IT strategy.
- Significant business analysis experience, including managing multiple and complex projects using different delivery methodologies.
- Strong track record of technology delivery.
- Experience managing and working with external IT vendors.
- Significant experience within the insurance industry.
- Project management, business analysis and process improvement experience.
- Experience managing or leading others with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, agile and collaborative environment.

Desirable
- Reinsurance experience.
- Experience in a similar technology services environment within a related industry.
