About The Role
The IT Business Analyst Lead is a senior-level delivery professional responsible for managing the full Product/Project Delivery Lifecycle (PDLC). This role involves translating complex business strategies into actionable technical requirements, orchestrating collaboration among cross-functional teams, and driving the end-to-end delivery of innovative technology solutions. The successful candidate will actively shape AI and data-driven initiatives, partnering with data science and engineering teams to validate model outcomes against business objectives. They will champion agile methodologies, facilitate stakeholder alignment, and oversee critical technical builds that support strategic organizational goals. As a key individual contributor with informal leadership responsibilities, this role requires a proactive approach to managing risks, ensuring compliance, and delivering high-impact projects that advance Citi’s digital transformation agenda.
Qualifications
- 6–10 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a related delivery leadership role
- Proven experience across full PDLC/SDLC cycles within an agile environment
- Experience contributing to or leading AI/ML or data-driven projects, including requirements definition
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) with advanced Excel skills
- Familiarity with agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps
- Strong knowledge of business analysis principles, including requirements elicitation, process mapping, user story creation, and acceptance criteria
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with executive-level stakeholders
- Educational background with a Bachelor’s degree or higher; Master’s degree preferred

Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end requirements process, leading discovery, elaboration, backlog grooming, UAT, and post-launch validation for high-impact initiatives
- Define and drive AI/ML use cases in collaboration with data scientists and ML engineers, establishing success metrics and translating model outputs into business requirements
- Evaluate AI solutions by assessing model performance, bias, explainability, and business fit, recommending deployment or identifying gaps
- Facilitate and contribute to agile ceremonies, ensuring a well-prioritized, outcome-focused product backlog
- Coordinate across multiple stakeholders, including business sponsors, technology teams, and compliance functions, to maintain project momentum
- Identify, quantify, and mitigate risks associated with delivery and technology, proposing pragmatic solutions to leadership
- Assess emerging technologies and evolving business needs, benchmarking against industry standards to recommend enhancements or replatforming
- Conduct data-informed analysis to define ambiguous problems, develop alternative solutions, and influence strategic decisions
- Mentor junior analysts, overseeing work allocation, coaching on best practices, and elevating team capabilities
- Communicate complex technical and AI concepts to senior stakeholders, driving consensus on roadmaps and strategic initiatives
- Support digital transformation efforts by identifying automation and AI opportunities, building business cases for change
- Ensure adherence to risk, ethics, and regulatory standards, promoting responsible AI governance and compliance with applicable laws
