Salary: £39,906 to £46,049 (Full-time indefinite)

Information System Services (ISS) is seeking a talented and motivated Business Analyst to join our Customer, Strategy and Governance Section.
This is an exciting opportunity to work across the University, helping to identify, analyse and deliver technology-enabled improvements that enhance services for staff and students. You will collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, translating business needs into clear requirements and working closely with technical teams to deliver effective digital solutions.
As a Business Analyst, you will play a key role in business change, process improvement and digital transformation initiatives, ensuring that technology investments deliver real value to the University community.

You will have a proven ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders, understand complex business needs, and translate them into clear requirements that support the delivery of effective digital solutions. You will be equally comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, facilitating workshops, analysing processes, and collaborating with technical teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Essential Skills and Experience:
- Strong communicator with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Capable of navigating ambiguity, challenging existing ways of working constructively, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Experience in business process mapping, requirements gathering, stakeholder analysis, and user story development.
The position is primarily based at Lancaster University's Bailrigg campus, with flexible hybrid working options available to promote a healthy work-life balance. A minimum of two days per week in the office is expected.
