Business Analyst – Data Platform Transformation

Contract: 11 days, delivered on a non-consecutive basis
Rate: Up to £450 per day
IR35: Outside IR35
Location: London / Hybrid

An 11-day contract but a genuinely important piece of work.

We’re supporting one of the UK’s most respected Azure specialist MSPs as they shape a strategic data platform transformation programme.

They need an experienced Business Analyst who can get up to speed quickly, lead focused discovery sessions and bring structure to a complex environment involving legacy systems, undocumented processes and significant volumes of data.

You’ll bridge the gap between operational stakeholders and technical delivery teams—turning ambiguous requirements into clear process maps, data requirements and actionable recommendations that will directly influence the future platform design.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading discovery workshops with operational, forecasting, product, IT and data stakeholders.
  • Capturing current-state processes, systems, workflows and data flows.
  • Identifying bottlenecks, manual processes, risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Developing future-state processes and operating-model recommendations.
  • Gathering and documenting functional, non-functional and business requirements.
  • Producing process maps, BPMN diagrams, data-flow diagrams, user stories and requirements backlogs.
  • Analysing data ownership, quality, stewardship, lineage, metadata and governance requirements.
  • Supporting the creation of data dictionaries, business glossaries, KPI definitions and data-quality rules.
  • Working with architects and data engineers to validate requirements and define acceptance criteria.
  • Facilitating playback sessions and securing stakeholder agreement on key deliverables.
  • Supporting UAT, business readiness and solution validation where required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
