Job Title: Business Analyst

Location: London, UK
Hourly Rate: £38.46
Contract Length: 12 Month Contract
Function: Business Strategy & Operations
Hybrid: 3 Days Onsite (Tuesday-Thursday), 2 Days Remote

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Analyst to join a high-performing European Business Strategy team. This role will focus on delivering data-driven insights, strategic market analysis, and business performance recommendations to support senior stakeholders across multiple markets.

The successful candidate will combine strong analytical expertise with commercial acumen to drive strategic decision-making, identify growth opportunities, and provide actionable insights that influence business outcomes.
This position is ideal for an analyst who is highly technical, commercially minded, and comfortable working with large datasets, advanced SQL queries, and executive-level stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Analysis & Business Performance

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of market performance, industry trends, and business opportunities across key European markets.
  • Support the development of market strategies through analytical insights and data-driven recommendations.
  • Evaluate business performance and identify opportunities for growth, optimisation, and operational efficiency.
  • Develop business cases and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Identify, assess, and recommend improvements to business processes and performance metrics.

  • Extract, manipulate, and analyse large datasets to deliver meaningful business insights.
  • Design and implement analytical frameworks that support strategic decision-making.
  • Conduct trend analysis and performance reporting to monitor business health and effectiveness.
  • Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Support ad-hoc analytical requests from business leaders and cross-functional teams.

Reporting & Visualisation

  • Build interactive dashboards and reporting tools to monitor key performance indicators.
  • Develop executive-level presentations highlighting business performance, risks, opportunities, and recommendations.
  • Communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Create data visualisations that support strategic planning and business reviews.

Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align data insights with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with commercial, operational, product, and strategy teams on key initiatives.
  • Influence decision-making through clear storytelling and evidence-based recommendations.
  • Support leadership teams with strategic planning and business reviews.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Strategy Analyst, Commercial Analyst, or similar analytical role.
  • Advanced SQL skills with the ability to independently write complex queries and build datasets from scratch.
  • Strong experience analysing large and complex datasets.
  • Expertise in dashboard development and data visualisation tools.
  • Experience presenting insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen and commercial awareness.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Experience conducting strategic and market analysis.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Fluent English communication skills.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced SQL (mandatory).
