Business Analyst (Fixed-Term Contract, 3 Months)

Help shape change at WSET

We're looking for a proactive and adaptable Business Analyst to join our Projects & Transformation team on a three-month fixed-term contract.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a range of business and technology change initiatives at a time of transformation across WSET. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to understand business needs, improve processes and help deliver meaningful change.

The role combines business analysis with project coordination and governance support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working across the full change lifecycle and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What you'll be doing

Understanding business needs

  • Facilitate workshops, interviews and stakeholder discussions to gather requirements.
  • Analyse and document business requirements, user stories and process maps.
  • Validate and prioritise requirements with stakeholders.
  • Conduct gap analysis and identify opportunities for improvement.

Supporting process improvement

  • Map current and future-state processes.
  • Identify inefficiencies, risks and opportunities.
  • Contribute to solution design discussions and option evaluations.

Engaging stakeholders

  • Build strong relationships across operational, technical and leadership teams.
  • Act as a link between business stakeholders and project delivery teams.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly and confidently.

Supporting project delivery

  • Maintain project documentation, governance controls and reporting.
  • Assist with project status reporting, dashboards and portfolio tracking.
  • Ensure project artefacts are organised and maintained appropriately.
  • Provide analytical and administrative support across the transformation portfolio.

What we're looking for

We're interested in people who are curious, organised and comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders.

You'll ideally bring:

  • Previous experience in a Business Analyst or similar change-focused role.
  • Strong requirements gathering and process mapping skills.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and stakeholder discussions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A structured approach to analysis, documentation and problem solving.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience supporting projects within a structured governance environment.

It would be great if you also have:

  • Experience working across business and technology change initiatives.
  • Knowledge of project delivery methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall or hybrid approaches.
  • Experience producing project reporting, dashboards or governance materials.

Definitions:

  • Fully remote - Can be performed entirely remotely from any location.
  • Hybrid remote - Performed as a mixture of in-office and remote work.

Salary

£40,000 (pro-rated for a 3 months' fixed-term contract)

The advertised salary is based on a London location and will vary for candidates based elsewhere.

Please note that WSET is not currently able to sponsor employment visas for this role. Candidates will need to have an existing right to work in the UK at the time of application and for the duration of their employment.
