Responsible for

The Business Analyst will help bridge the gap between business needs and AI-enabled solutions, ensuring opportunities are aligned to strategic objectives and deliver measurable business outcomes.

Based at

Remote with travel to London and Portsmouth as required

Purpose

The Business Analyst will play a key role in supporting the successful adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across Bell. Working closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and programme leads, the role will focus on identifying and prioritising AI use cases, analysing business processes, gathering requirements, and using data-driven insights to support decision-making and value realisation.

Role

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across business functions to identify opportunities for AI adoption.
  • Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions to understand business challenges and opportunities.
  • Assess and prioritise AI use cases based on business value, feasibility, risk, and organisational readiness.
  • Develop business cases and support benefits realisation planning for AI initiatives.
  • Review and document current ("as-is") business processes and workflows.
  • Identify inefficiencies, pain points, and opportunities for automation or augmentation through AI technologies.
  • Design and document future-state ("to-be") processes that incorporate AI capabilities.

Requirements Gathering & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment and engagement.
  • Analyse business and operational data to identify trends, opportunities, and performance improvements.
  • Support the measurement and tracking of AI adoption, usage, and benefits realisation.
  • Support AI programme governance activities, including documentation, reporting, and risk management.
  • Assist in developing standards, frameworks, and best practices for AI adoption.
  • Contribute to change management and user adoption activities.
  • Ensure AI initiatives align with organisational policies, compliance requirements, and ethical AI principles.

Person Specification

  • Experience working as a Business Analyst within business transformation, digital transformation, or technology programmes.
  • Strong process mapping and business process improvement skills.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions.
  • Ability to gather, document, and analyse business requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with experience interpreting data and presenting insights.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with project delivery methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
  • Experience using process mapping and analysis tools (e.g., Visio, Miro, Lucidchart).
  • Understanding of change management principles and user adoption practices.

Desirable

  • Experience supporting AI, automation, data analytics, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Understanding of AI technologies, including Generative AI, Machine Learning, and Intelligent Automation.
  • Knowledge of data visualisation and reporting tools such as Power BI.
