Business Analyst — Electronic Trading Product Management, London

A renowned electronic trading firm (not a software vendor — a trading organisation in its own right) is growing its UK and European product management function, and Miller Maxwell is helping find an experienced Business Analyst to join the global engagement team in London.

A major new programme of work kicks off in Q4 2026, focused on electronic trading projects across European markets. Working with development, operations, sales, QA, and senior leadership, plus direct engagement with a prestigious global client base.

  • Act as the bridge between business and technology across a suite of trading platforms and products
  • Gather and analyse client requirements, turning them into clear, actionable technical specs
  • Manage project scope, flag risk early, and propose contingency plans
  • Drive delivery within the product management lifecycle
  • Mentor team members and contribute to hiring as the team expands
  • Work directly with senior stakeholders, internal and external
  • Produce documentation that holds up to scrutiny

What the Business Analyst Requires:

  • 5+ years as a Business Analyst in financial services
  • A track record delivering electronic trading technology projects, working closely with engineering teams internally and externally
  • Comfort with Java, C++, or Python-based technology stacks
  • Background in Equities or Fixed Income trading technology
  • Experience with senior stakeholders, including institutional clients
  • Proven Agile delivery (Scrum and/or Kanban)
