Senior Technical Business Analyst - Healthcare Interoperability (FHIR)

Location: Remote (MUST be UK Based)
Rate: £500/day (Inside IR35)
Duration: Until March 2027

Please note - due to the nature of this programme, NHS experience is essential and applicants without domain experience will not be considered

Overview

Senior Technical BA needed for a national healthcare interoperability programme. This is a deeply technical, hands-on role centred on FHIR-based API standards, supplier onboarding and live service support, not general requirements gathering.

Responsibilities

  • Own FHIR data modelling and maintain data structures, entity relationships and associated components across the standard
  • Advise suppliers and internal teams on RESTful API strategy, including Operation Outcomes and HTTP status code application
  • Lead technical changes and releases through the full development lifecycle, including GitHub repo and OAS specification management
  • Own test planning and coordinate sender/receiver testing cycles for supplier API assurance against FHIR specifications
  • Investigate incidents and problems via Splunk and JSON log review, including third-party supplier logs
  • Manage change requests against baselined requirements and lead gap analysis for new interoperability use cases
  • Engage directly with system suppliers and healthcare providers to support onboarding and validate FHIR implementation against the standard
  • Produce technical content including implementation guides, data mapping documents and JSON examples validated against FHIR

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
