Business Analyst
Private Equity | Private Markets | Big Four Audit Background
£50,000 - £60,000 depending on level/experience
City | Hybrid
Meraki Talent is working with a Financial Services consultancy, looking to speak with Audit professionals from the Big Four - KPMG, PwC, EY, or Deloitte. Who have experience working with Private Equity and Private Markets clients.
This is an opportunity to move from a traditional audit environment into a client-facing Business Analyst / Consultant role, using your existing knowledge of private capital, financial reporting, operating models, and client relationships to support consulting and transformation projects.
The role would suit an Audit Associate, Senior Associate, or recently qualified professional looking to take their experience into a more project-focused and commercially driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Client Delivery
- Work across multiple client projects and workstreams within the Private Capital / Private Markets sector.
- Support the delivery of projects from initial scoping through to implementation.
- Manage project plans, timelines, milestones, deliverables, and key dependencies.
- Work closely with clients to understand their challenges and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support project governance, reporting, and senior stakeholder updates.

Client & Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships with Private Equity, Private Markets, and Investment Management clients.
- Lead or support client meetings, workshops, and requirements-gathering sessions.
- Communicate complex financial, operational, and business information clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Develop presentations and materials for senior stakeholders and governance forums.
- Identify opportunities to support clients beyond the immediate project.
Business Analysis & Solution Design
- Use your experience of auditing Private Equity / Private Markets businesses to understand processes, controls, operating models, and business requirements.
- Analyse client processes and identify operational challenges, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
- Support process mapping, solution design, testing, and implementation.
- Work alongside operations, technology, and data teams to develop practical client solutions.
- Contribute to both tactical improvements and longer-term transformation projects.

Private Capital Expertise
- Bring an understanding of the Private Equity / Private Markets operating environment and the challenges faced by investment firms.
- Apply knowledge gained from working with PE/Private Markets clients across areas such as financial reporting, controls, processes, data, and operations.
- Develop your consulting expertise while continuing to build your knowledge of the Private Capital sector.
Person Specification
- MUST HAVE experience working within Audit at KPMG, PwC, EY, or Deloitte.
- Exposure to Private Equity, Private Markets, clients.
- Experience at Associate or Senior Associate level.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working directly with clients and senior stakeholders.
- The ability to understand complex business processes and communicate findings clearly.
- An interest in moving from audit into consulting, business analysis, and project delivery.
- A genuine interest in developing a career within Private Capital / Private Markets consulting.
