Business Architect

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Business Architect to play a key role in driving business transformation, operational improvement, and strategic change initiatives within a complex organisational environment. You will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to analyse current operating models, identify opportunities for improvement, and design solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business architecture, business analysis, process improvement, and transformation activities across a range of programmes and projects.
  • Analyse, model, and optimise business processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop business cases, investment appraisals, and benefits realisation plans to support strategic decision-making.
  • Facilitate workshops and engage with stakeholders at all levels to understand requirements and define future-state solutions.
  • Support procurement activities, including the development and evaluation of RFI and ITT processes.
  • Ensure alignment between business strategy, operating models, processes, systems, and organisational capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities for operational efficiency improvements and support the delivery of business transformation initiatives.
  • Provide insight and recommendations based on data, management information, and evidence-based analysis.
  • Consider regulatory, cyber security, and digital service requirements when designing and implementing solutions.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience delivering business architecture, business analysis, process improvement, data/MI, or IT change initiatives within complex environments.
  • Strong capability in business process analysis, process modelling, solution design, and transformation delivery.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, and influencing skills.
  • Experience developing business cases, investment appraisals, and benefits realisation plans.
  • Good understanding of project delivery methodologies and procurement processes, including RFI and ITT activities.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering operational efficiency improvements and business transformation programmes.
  • Knowledge of regulatory, cyber security, and digital service requirements, ideally within a regulated environment.
  • Ability to align strategy, people, processes, and technology to achieve measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience working within nuclear, energy, asset-intensive, engineering, or other safety-critical industries.
  • Knowledge and practical application of recognised business architecture frameworks and methodologies.
