Senior Business Analyst

Express Recruitment are delighted to be representing a leading institution who are looking to hire a Senior Business Analyst on a full-time, hybrid, and permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in a business analysis role and will lead analysis from early exploration through delivery and continuous improvement, examining current services and processes, define future-state options, map end-to-end user journeys, and create detailed requirements and user stories.

In return, they are offering a competitive salary of £47k to £56k per annum D.O.E alongside a generous benefits package including hybrid working, a strong pension contribution scheme, flexible working, and extensive opportunities for professional development.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Plan and undertake proportionate business analysis across exploration, discovery, alpha, beta, live, and continuous improvement stages
  • Map end-to-end services, user journeys, business capabilities, information flows, and as-is/to-be processes
  • Investigate user, business, and service needs using workshops, interviews, observation, and data analysis
  • Create and maintain process models, context diagrams, business rules, data definitions, use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Work continuously with agile delivery teams to support backlog creation, refinement, and work splitting

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in a Business Analysis position within multidisciplinary digital or service teams
  • Practical experience with agile delivery, iterative development, backlog refinement, and release management
  • Proven ability to elicit, analyse, validate, and manage functional, non-functional, data, and operational requirements
  • Experience modelling as-is and to-be processes using standard notations and tools
  • Strong experience using data, analytics, and reporting tools to investigate operational performance and user behavior
