Business Analyst
CCL Global is seeking two experienced Business Analysts to support a major UK public sector organisation on a long-term transformation programme.
The successful candidates will have strong experience in business process modelling, requirements management, and stakeholder engagement, with the ability to work independently across multidisciplinary teams and translate complex business needs into clear requirements and practical improvements.
Location: Hybrid – 2 days per week onsite (London, Bristol or Warrington)
Contract: Inside IR35
Security Clearance: Active SC required
Duration: 6 MONTH CONTRACT
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and model both simple and complex business processes, using appropriate modelling techniques and diagrams.
- Assess existing processes to identify problems, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Design, prioritise, and support the implementation of business process improvements.
- Undertake root-cause analysis, define problems, and evaluate potential solutions.
- Elicit, analyse, challenge, and validate business and user requirements.
- Produce clear requirements artefacts including epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and non-functional requirements.
- Manage requirements and maintain appropriate traceability throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Facilitate requirements prioritisation and resolve conflicting stakeholder needs.
- Create system, process, and data models to support analysis and decision-making.
- Work within multidisciplinary teams to identify gaps in functionality and user experience.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and manage competing priorities.
- Facilitate stakeholder discussions and build consensus around requirements and proposed solutions.
- Support testing activities by developing business scenarios and acceptance criteria and reviewing prototypes, test plans, and outcomes.
- Present analysis and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Share best practice and contribute to the development of the wider Business Analysis community.

Requirements
- Strong experience as a Business Analyst within a complex organisation or programme environment.
- Demonstrable experience modelling simple and complex business processes.
- Strong requirements elicitation, analysis, and management experience.
- Experience producing user stories, acceptance criteria, process models, and other BA artefacts.
- Ability to analyse problems, identify root causes, and develop evidence-based recommendations.
- Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and influencing skills.
- Experience managing conflicting stakeholder requirements and priorities.
- Understanding of different delivery methodologies and the ability to adapt BA activities accordingly.
- Experience supporting business process improvement and change.
- Understanding of testing, requirements traceability, and acceptance criteria.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Current SC clearance is essential at the point of application.
