About The Role

As a Business Analyst at Smart Pension, you will play a vital role in supporting our strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing our operational model and delivering superior customer experiences. Your primary responsibilities will include defining, developing, and documenting end-to-end business processes, providing technical input during user acceptance testing, and executing operational readiness checklists. You will engage effectively with internal teams and third-party stakeholders at various levels to facilitate change and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with a keen focus on execution and delivery. You will support our growth by collaborating across departments to optimize opportunities for cost reduction, risk management, scalability, and customer satisfaction. Your work will directly contribute to our mission of transforming financial wellbeing on a global scale.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess relevant experience in the DC pensions industry, complemented by professional certifications in business analysis. A Lean Six Sigma accreditation is highly desirable, demonstrating your expertise in process improvement methodologies. You should have demonstrable experience in business analysis, process management, and requirements gathering, with the ability to create comprehensive documentation tailored to technical and non-technical audiences. Experience working within an agile environment is preferred, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills are essential, enabling you to build trusted relationships across various levels of the organization. A flexible approach to changing business needs, combined with a proactive attitude and accountability, will ensure your success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of existing processes and product offerings to identify gaps and support future developments.
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of the platform, products, and operational procedures.
  • Document change requests with clear, data-supported business cases to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Foster and maintain strong working relationships across internal teams and external partners.
  • Facilitate workshops to gather stakeholder insights, analyze requirements, and accurately define business needs.
  • Create detailed documentation to support approval processes and project delivery activities.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed user stories to guide development and testing teams.
  • Design process flows that map out core business operations and identify areas for improvement.
  • Produce cost and risk analyses to evaluate initiatives and support benefit realization, considering all potential gains.
  • Collect and analyze management information to inform strategic decisions.
  • Provide technical input during user acceptance testing to ensure solutions meet business needs.
  • Set and execute operational readiness checklists, obtaining sign-off from key stakeholders prior to implementation.
  • Assess and mitigate emerging risks, ensuring compliance and operational stability.
  • Communicate technical issues effectively to stakeholders using appropriate business language.
  • Resolve complex issues by applying commercial and business awareness, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of third-party partner capabilities and technologies.
  • Engage with business strategy discussions, understanding their impact on team operations and customer outcomes.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement focused on enhancing customer experience and managing operational costs.
  • Lead and facilitate change initiatives, demonstrating personal commitment and inspiring team members to adapt and thrive.
