Business Analyst (Contract) - London (Hybrid) | Inside IR35
Location: London (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)
Contract: 6 Months
Rate: Up to £540 per day (Inside IR35)
Security Clearance: Active SC Clearance Required
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a major business and technology transformation programme. This is an excellent opportunity for a contractor who enjoys working with both business and technical stakeholders, driving requirements, improving processes, and supporting the successful delivery of complex change initiatives within an Agile environment.
You'll play a key role in translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements while working closely with Product Owners, Developers, Architects, Test Teams, and Project Managers to ensure successful solution delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with stakeholders to elicit, analyse, validate, and document business requirements.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and process mapping sessions to capture current and future-state processes.
- Produce high-quality documentation including business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, and business cases.
- Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, Architects, Test Teams, and Project Managers throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies.
- Analyse business processes and identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect management, and solution validation.
- Perform data analysis and reporting to support business decisions.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate project progress effectively.
- Ensure solutions align with business objectives, governance, and compliance requirements.

Essential Experience
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst delivering large-scale business or technology transformation programmes.
- Strong experience gathering, analysing, and documenting business requirements.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills across business and technical teams.
- Experience producing user stories, business requirements documents, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.
- Experience supporting testing, business readiness, and implementation activities.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
