About The Role

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a relevant qualification in housing, property management, social sciences, or a related field. A minimum of three years of experience in housing management, community development, or a similar role is preferred. Strong knowledge of housing legislation, health and safety regulations, and tenant rights is essential. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required to effectively engage with residents and team members. Proficiency in using housing management software and MS Office applications is expected. A proactive attitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team are key attributes for success in this role. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and community empowerment.

Responsibilities

  • Managing day-to-day housing operations
  • Ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards
  • Maintaining high levels of tenant satisfaction
  • Coordinating repairs, maintenance, and refurbishment projects
  • Overseeing contractor performance
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with residents through regular engagement and support initiatives
  • Developing and implementing community programs aimed at fostering social cohesion and resident well-being
  • Monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators
  • Preparing budgets
  • Managing resources efficiently
  • Contributing to strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and operational efficiency
