Business Analyst / Project Manager

Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland

Duration: 6 Months rolling contract

We're looking for an experienced Business Analyst / Project Manager to join a major Markets Transformation programme focused on MiFID II Product Governance. This role offers the opportunity to lead and support the delivery of key regulatory change initiatives, ensuring policies, processes, governance, controls, and reporting are aligned with evolving regulatory requirements throughout the product lifecycle.

You'll work closely with business, technology, legal, compliance, and operations teams to drive change from requirements gathering through to implementation, while ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard within a complex financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret MiFID II regulatory requirements and translate them into detailed business requirements.
  • Work with Legal, Compliance, Technology, and Business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and validate requirements.
  • Conduct gap analysis to identify current state processes and define future state solutions.
  • Develop and present solution options, driving them through to successful implementation.
  • Define and document governance frameworks, reporting requirements, policies, and procedures.
  • Improve existing business processes, controls, and operational governance.
  • Perform data analysis to support regulatory initiatives and business decision-making.
  • Support project planning, governance, and delivery in line with PMO standards.
  • Track project deliverables, risks, and dependencies while supporting programme execution.
  • Prepare materials for steering committees, working groups, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) where required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
