Senior Business Analyst
Location: Remote
Clearance Required: Active SC + NPPV3
Nationality Requirement: Sole British Passport Holder
Rate: £550.00 - £590.00 inside IR35
The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join a high-profile digital transformation programme within the public sector. You'll play a key role in delivering a modern cloud-based platform that will transform and enhance offender management capabilities across multiple agencies, helping to improve collaboration, efficiency, and public protection outcomes.
Working within Agile multi-disciplinary teams, you'll take ownership of business analysis activities from discovery through to delivery, ensuring solutions meet both business and user needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate workshops and support the assessment of new product initiatives and workstreams.
- Analyse current business processes and define future-state processes.
- Create and maintain process maps, requirements, and business artefacts.
- Elicit, document, and refine business and user requirements.
- Write clear user stories and acceptance criteria ready for development.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Architects, Developers, Testers, and UCD teams.
- Support sprint delivery, demos, and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and issues, ensuring they are effectively managed.
- Ensure all deliverables are completed to a high standard and aligned to programme objectives.

Additional Responsibilities
- Represent the Business Analysis function in senior stakeholder discussions.
- Coordinate BA activities across multiple teams and workstreams.
- Drive consistency, quality, and best practice across the BA community.
- Mentor and support other Business Analysts.
- Work with Product Managers to refine and prepare backlog items for delivery teams.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst within large-scale transformation programmes.
- Strong experience working in Agile delivery environments.
- Excellent requirements gathering, process mapping, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders across business and technical teams.
- Understanding of data governance and regulatory compliance principles.
- Active SC and NPPV3 clearance.

Desirable Experience
- Public sector or government programme experience.
- Experience working on cloud-based transformation projects.
- Knowledge of AWS cloud technologies.
- Relevant Business Analysis, public sector, or cloud certifications.
