Position: Payments Business Analyst / Payments Specialist
Location: UK
Employment Type: Permanent
Working Model: Hybrid / Remote, subject to client and project requirements (Base Location - UK)
ROLE OVERVIEW
EvonSys is looking for an experienced Payments Business Analyst / Payments Specialist to support banking and financial services clients across payments transformation and technology initiatives.
The role combines strong payments-domain knowledge with Business Analysis and client-facing consulting experience. The successful candidate will work between business and technology teams to understand payment processes, define requirements and support delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze payment processes, business requirements and operational needs across client engagements.
- Lead requirements gathering, business process analysis and functional analysis.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories and actionable requirements for technology teams.
- Work with clients, architects, developers, testers and delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Analyze domestic and cross-border payment flows, processes and messaging.
- Support payment transformation, modernization and industry-driven change programs.
- Facilitate client workshops and stakeholder discussions.
- Support UAT, implementation and production readiness activities.
- Provide payments subject-matter expertise to project and client teams.
- Contribute to solution discussions and pre-sales activities where required.

REQUIRED DOMAIN KNOWLEDGE
Strong practical experience in:
- SWIFT
- ISO 20022
- CHAPS
- SEPA
- Cross-border payments
- Payment processing and settlement

EXPERIENCE
- 10+ years of relevant experience in Banking, Financial Services or Financial Services Consulting.
- Significant Payments Operations and/or Payments Business Analysis experience.
- Experience delivering payments-related technology or transformation programs.
- Experience working directly with banking or financial services clients.
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
This is a client-facing consulting role supporting projects with changing business and client requirements. The successful candidate must be comfortable working flexibly according to project needs and the global nature of EvonSys's delivery model.
